The American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is an advanced, instructor-led course for healthcare professionals who direct or participate in the management of critically ill or injured infants and children.
Skills taught include recognition and treatment of infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest; the systematic approach to pediatric assessment; effective respiratory management; defibrillation and synchronized cardioversion; intraosseous access and fluid bolus administration; and effective resuscitation team dynamics.
This course is intended for professionals such as pediatricians, emergency physicians, family physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare providers who may need to initiate and direct advanced life support in pediatric emergencies.

The PALS Renewal course is for any healthcare provider that has previously completed a PALS course and is looking to renew their PALS certification.As information is released about the best ways to care for children and infants experiencing medical emergencies, our PALS classes adapt to reflect the most up to date guidelines for care.
The PALS renewal classes are not only a good way to learn about the newest approved medical guidelines, but the PALS renewal classes are also a great way to refresh techniques and skills used less frequently.
This course is intended for professionals such as pediatricians, emergency physicians, family physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare providers who may need to initiate and direct advanced life support in pediatric emergencies.

If you have completed the American Heart Association HeartCode® Online Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Course (http://www.onlineaha.org/) you can complete a skill session to receive your PALS Provider completion card. Your official American Heart Association online completion certificate must be presented at the time of your skill session. Skill sessions require pre-registration to guarantee your appointment.

If you have completed the online portion of the American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Course AND the online portion of the American Heart Association Pediatric Advance Life Support Course (http://www.onlineaha.org/) you can complete a skill validation to receive your ACLS and PALS Provider completion cards in ONE easy session.Your official American Heart Association online completion certificates must be presented at the time of your skill check. All skill checks are scheduled based on instructor availability.
Need BLS too?
